Out Of Hours Service

Preston Primary Care Services will provide all our out-of-hours services. When the surgery is closed ring Preston Primary Care Centre on 01772 788058 for urgent problems only. You can also ring NHS Direct on 0845 4647.

Chaperone

If you feel you will need a chaperone while being examined, please ask the receptionist in advance. The Doctor will also ask in consultation to clarify if you need a chaperone.

Complaints Procedure

We operate a practice-based complaints procedure. If you need any help, advice or have any concerns about the day-to-day administration / staff working within the medical centre, please contact the Practice Manager in the first instance. Although every effort will be made to deal with your request on the same day on occasions it may be necessary for you to book an appointment.

Data Protection

The practice is registered under the Data Protection Act, under which you have statutory rights. You are entitled also to access to your medical records. You need to apply in writing and a charge of £10.00 plus photocopying fees will be made. The doctor is entitled to withhold any information which he considers may be detrimental to you.
We provide a confidential service to all patients regardless of age. This means we do not tell anyone about your visits unless you ask us to do so, including patients under 16 years.
