Practice Staff

Practice Manager

Our practice manager is responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the surgery. If you have any suggestions for an improved service, any concerns or complaints, please address them to her.

Receptionists

Our team of receptionists are trained to help you and are bound by the same code of confidentiality as the Doctors and Nurses. At times they may need to ask you certain relevant medical details at times in order to allow the right amount of time for appointments, advise who might be the best person to see initially etc.

Their job is a difficult one - mutual courtesy will `oil the wheels'!

Practice Nursing Staff

Sheila Griffiths RGN

Dorothy Bradley RGN

Katy Smyth RGN

The practice has three nursing sisters who manage our treatment room work which includes dressings, routine injections, ear syringing, blood samples and ECGs when ordered by the Doctor.

They offer a full travel vaccination programme which can be organised by phoning the surgery and making an appointment with the Nurse. They are also available for all general health matters, family planning advice, cervical smears, breast care advice and reviewing minor ailments.

Attached Staff

District Nurse - Karen Walmsley
Role of District Nurses - To provide care in the community for patients who need nursing assistance in the home.

Role of Health Visitor - To give advice on baby's health and general well being including feeding problems, sleep management and prescribing.

Role of Midwife - To provide full maternity service.

Training Practice

From August 2009 we now have 'Training Status' which means that our GP's Dr H. Nair and Dr R. Nair are able to train medical students, hospital doctors and doctors wishing to specialise as General Practitioners.

As part of this training it may be necessary to video consultations but this will not take place with out your consent.
